Tucson Botanical Gardens and The Hacienda at the River: Growing and Flourishing Together in Partnership

In celebration of a fruitful and ever-growing partnership with Tucson Botanical Garden, we enjoyed visiting the TBG’s “Butterfly Magic” and Origami exhibits recently.  We had residents from both our Desert Willow Memory Care as well as Mesquite Assisted Living enjoying the beautiful grounds, exotic butterflies (and orchids), unusual origami displays and insightful origami video.

Additionally, as part of our partnership, we are fortunate to have Juliet Niehaus, Horticultural Therapist for The Gardens, visit our campus monthly to engage with our residents and work with our own Horticultural Guide, Jason Welborn.  Whether visiting the Tucson Botanical Gardens or bringing The Gardens to us, we continue at The Hacienda to embrace the importance of nature and bringing all things green to our Community.
