From Hugh’s experiences as a fighter pilot (55 missions) dodging the enemy in the air to Virginia’s stories about enduring air raids on the ground in northern England to Evis sharing of her childhood in Jamaica and Paul Johnson sharing his passion for journalism, food and his family, the kids and residents had so much fun. Part of the project (in addition to learning how to interview and create rapport so stories are remembered/revealed) was to learn to photograph professionally their subjects as well. Brian Powell set up a photo shoot area in our Garden and gave the 4H-ers instructions on how to engage and then capture meaningful photos. It was a sunny warm morning and everyone involved had a great time. Naya Minerva was a big help as were Shiela and Leeann.
