We hosted a holiday piano recital on Sunday afternoon. 13 piano students of Bonnie Pisik ranging in age from 5 to 16 years old played songs representing all faith traditions and favorite songs of winter. Their families, including many siblings, attended along with our residents from Mesquite, Desert Willow and Cottonwood. The room was filled with people enthusiastically encouraging each performer. The children not only played but also introduced themselves and took a bow after their performance. Each pianist played two to three songs.
Teacher Bonnie Pisik reports: “The kids had such a wonderful time. They were all a little nervous when they first got there but afterwords they all said how much fun it was and how relaxed it was and several of them said they loved performing for you guys. It warms my heart.”
Cookies were enjoyed by all after plus many of the families enjoyed taking a quick stroll in our covered garden on their way out.
