On a recent Thursday afternoon more than 400 visitors attended an open house to get a sneak peek at The Hacienda at the River, Tucson’s new senior living and wellness community. Opening in February, The Hacienda will offer Assisted Living, Memory Care and Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in unique setting that takes advantage of the warm beauty of the desert, the history of this special spot in the Catalina Foothills and the rich nexus of integrative care pioneers that Tucson boasts.
Starting at The Stable, where they met Barbara Rector, some of her equine friends and learned more about The Hacienda’s visionary equine therapeutic programming, visitors progressed through the Spanish style Hacienda Home.
At different stations they leaned about care by Nayas, a rich tapestry of green spaces, the community’s healing menus that include Thrive DiningTM, integrative care provided in partnership with the University of Arizona’s College of Nursing Integrative Nursing Fellowship.
It will be a community where these personalized wellness and therapy programs, innovative and integrative clinical care, practitioner education and staff training all come together make The Hacienda a place where residents truly thrive.
